At Sedation Ink, we employ intravenous (IV) sedation using a customized blend of medications tailored to meet your individual requirements.

Once your IV is inserted, you’ll receive medication through it, inducing a tranquil, dream-like state of sleep during your tattoo session.

The medication administered and monitored by professional anesthesiologists also alleviates pain, inflammation, and nausea for approximately four hours post-session.

After the procedure is done, you’ll go to a recovery room, where you’ll slowly wake up. Your medical team will make sure you aren’t in pain and around the 1-hour mark after your awakening you’ll be cleared to return home

Our Medical Staff will provide written guidelines for you to follow up.

Rest and ample hydration are advised for the remainder of the day. You will receive specific guidelines, but as with any procedures that includes sedation it is important to abstain from operating machinery, handling sharp objects, signing legal documents, or making crucial decisions that require full cognitive function, as the medication may impair judgment for up to 24 hours.

Later in the day, you can expect a follow-up call from a member of the medical team who administered your sedation, addressing any queries, and confirming your recovery progress.
